Thika Farmers Group

Thika Farmers Group manufacture and distribute high grade animal feeds and agriproducts to local subsistence farmers in the Kenyan agricultural belt. The business specializes in manufacturing feeds for poultry, dairy and pig farming.

The target market is small scale commercial farmers within the greater Kiambu, Muranga, Nyeri, Kirinyaga and Meru Counties. Thika Farmers also works as a cooperative for their customers, providing them with a vital route to market. They accept payment in kind as way of monetizing these goods.

The business has developed with Fusion, though several rounds of debt and equity financing. Fusion took an equity stake in the business, coming in as a rescue partner, providing vital restructuring expertise and mentorship support.
